FIVE STEPS are required to complete the Final Paper Submission

STEP 1: Use one of the IEEE-IAS templates for your paper (latex or word). Templates are in this link

STEP 2: Add the copyright notice to the bottom of the first page of your source document.

• For papers in which all authors are employed by the US government, the copyright notice is:
  U.S. Government work not protected by U.S. copyright
• For papers in which all authors are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, and Australia), the copyright notice is:
  978-1-4799-2911-5/13/$31.00 ©2013 Crown
• For all other papers the copyright notice is:
  978-1-4799-2911-5/13/$31.00 ©2013 IEEE

STEP 3: Convert to PDF using IEEE PDF eXpress

Log in to the IEEE PDF eXpress site. Use this link

First-time users should do the following:

1. Select the New Users.
2. Enter the following code for SmartMILE 2013 Conference & Exhibition : 32577x
3. Enter your your email address and a password.
4. Continue to enter information as prompted.
5. An Online confirmation will be displayed and an email confirmation will be sent verifying your account setup.

Previous users of IEEE PDF eXpress need to follow the above steps, but should enter the same password that was used for previous conferences. Verify that your contact information is valid.

IMPORTANT : Any changes made to a PDF after IEEE PDF eXpress conversion or PDF Checking may invalidate IEEEXplore compatibility. This includes headers, page numbers, copyright notice, watermarks, etc. If any of these elements are desired, they should be added to the document before a PDF is created.

STEP 4: Generate the Electronic Copyright using the next form. A PDF will be created. Download this PDF for being used in STEP 5.

STEP 5: Submit using EasyChair Application ( link ) all the information needed to complete the Final Paper Submission:

1. Registration is required by one of the authors in the SmartMILE 2013 Conference & Exhibition. Use this link
2. Submit your PDF paper previously validated using IEEE PDF eXpress. (Select “submit a new version” and upload the pdf version of the paper in “Submission”)
3. Submit the IEEE Copyright FORM generated in the previous STEP. (Select “submit a new version” and upload de pdf version of the IEEE Copyright in “Attachment”)

VERY IMPORTANT DEADLINE: Be carefully with this. IEEE PDF eXpress tool is available for SmartMILE 2013 Conference & Exhibition in the IEEE webpage ONLY UNTIL NOVEMBER 20, 2013 .
